Church Eaton Village Festival

The time has come to put forward your ideas for the 2011 Festival.
That will be our tenth festival so we need to make it special.
Better still, help us to make it happen by joining the committee.

Well, I thought the 2010 festival was one of the best, with lots more activities. That made it seem as though there were less people around, but those who came were all complimentary about the event.

The expertise and skills that Church Eaton has available were well demonstrated, not only in the excellent displays in the church, but in the numerous other activities.
Cooking, sports, ferrets, horses, floweres, Scarecrows, fireworks, embroidery, reptiles, jewelery, music, photography, cabinet making, gardening, etc, etc. We are a talented bunch; and what is really great is that most of us are prepared to use those talents to help the community.
It's a bit sad that some folk do not want to know, and that others cash in on the hard work of the commitee for personal gain, or pet projects, but you cant win them all.
Well done to all those involved in creating Festival 2010.

Hello John,

I was lucky enough to visit Church Eaton last summer during coffee
morning in the village hall. The locals whom I got talking to
mentioned that the village had a 'scarecrow weekend' every year and that I should come back and visit then.

My husband Martin and I visited the village today and loved the festival. We had a great time.

You should be very proud of your village, it was a wonderful day today and I'm sure tomorrow will be just as much fun.

With very best wishes

Hi Justin,

Congratulations to yourself, the rest of the committee and the whole of Church Eaton for the 2010 Festival!
I had a wonderful afternoon enjoying the sights and sounds and was only sorry my family weren't with me.
As part of the poetry group, I was made to feel most welcome which of course always sets the tone for wondering if we'll be invited back next year.

Special mention should be made of the standard and variety of 'refreshments' available at the institute: I especially found the mille feuille 'to die for' as the saying goes, and wasn't alone amongst the poetry group in going home with a couple of punnets of delicious strawberries to enjoy for tea.

Church Eaton is an amazingly active and thriving village if the Festival is anything to go by, and your 'Justin's Jottings' are excellent, categorizing events certainly for the past three years that I could see!

Enjoy a slightly more relaxing day today!
Best wishes to yourself and your wife, whom it was lovely to meet
