Recreation

The "Goalposts" Blog has been closed, now that the goal-wall is in place. That blog was very important in giving villagers a forum to comment and put forward their ideas. With 85 posts and some 40 people involved it was very successful, however things move on and this Blog is for other aspects of Recreation in the village. The Recreational Society, which has developed from the Goalposts campaign, wants to look at the wider picture, not just football for teenagers.

If you have any input into this development please add your comments here for all to read. We have shown that “village power” works, so let’s make it work some more. If you think allotments, a bowling green, a climbing wall, guided walks, a skateboard park, a Bridge club or anything else would benefit recreation in Church Eaton let us hear about it.

The Village Institute

Our village hall has done excellent service for Church Eaton since it was given to the village by Mary Wyley in 1892. There have been many modifications to bring it in line with the needs of the day and once again we are looking at what the village needs in 2010 and beyond. Let us have your comments and ideas here.

Church Eaton Village Festival

The time has come to put forward your ideas for the 2011 Festival.
That will be our tenth festival so we need to make it special.
Better still, help us to make it happen by joining the committee.
