I would like to put forward a suggestion, that the new village sign design should bear a resemblance to a set of goal posts and be located on the Glebelands.
The above village sign proposal is an excellent idea. Eye catching and at the centre of attention.
There appears not to be a great interest in this matter, I may be wrong. Wouldn't it be better to wait until the recession is over and when funding becomes more readily available.
Many thanks to Bob & Co. who have put a lot of effort into trying to move this idea forward. Initial response from villagers was good, but seems to have petered out now. Does the village still want a personal village sign? Comments please.

Where is the funding comming from ? It can't be a bad thing as long as it doesnt come out of my council tax.
I think people would prefer money to be spent on goal posts than a sign!
What has happened to the money that was received as a grant for this project?
Didn't this grant pay for the new black and white signs?
